I’ve always pushed friends, family, colleague… well everyone away from large tech support companies such as the Geek Squad (Best Buy), EasyTechForce (Staples), ConnectPro (Future Shop), etc.  There’s a reason for that! With the big retail guys, you are more likely to get ripped off than anything.

Because your local computer repair shop isn’t well known and needs to make it’s proofs, you will generally get better service.

from Fox 12 where they visited a few computer repair shop with a “broken” computer to see if they could fix it. They had quite a surprise with the Geek Squad.
